TA day 4: Papariki to Auckland Airport
Distance 73km, Elevation Gain 936m
Bit of R&R today to make sure the bodies are as good as the bikes! Still 73k not to be sneezed at! The euphoria of the day was slightly dampened by the lost hour waiting for breakfast to arrive at cafe in Helensville (we won’t mention names) so made for a very late start.
Made it to Mt Eden for obligatory photo op then down to cafe for lunch. Andy was pleased to have a meet up with work college, Andrew Ward, who very kindly took control of unwanted kit (Andy packed way too much!) for posting back to home.
Back to Ibis Airport for the night plus a few well deserved beers and maybe a bottle of wine.
