TA Day 8: Pureora to Taumaranui

Pureora to Taumaranui on the Timber Trail 112k
Another tough day on the TA!
Crisp start after night under 'canvas', beautiful sunny day in prospect to do the Timber Trail. Weary legs struggled with the long climb up the flanks of Mt Pureora, but rewarded by epic downhill thereafter! Soon got to Camp Epic, roughly halfway, for lunch - thanks, Josh! Then onwards with some tough climbs and huge suspension bridges to deal with, amidst wonderful forest and bush scenery and distant mountain vistas. At last, after more filling loosening downhill, got on the trail to Ongarue, and the last 24km to Taumaranui and well earned rest and recuperation at Twin Rivers Motel - who even (very bravely) offered to take charge of our malevolently malodorous laundry!
